Description

The SDX-260V is Sonys AIT-e Turbo internal IDE tape drive.

The AIT Turbo (Advanced Intelligent Tape Turbo ) format was released by Sony in 2004 in addition to their existing AIT range. The AIT Turbo was designed to enhance both capacity and speed of earlier AIT generations delivering the same highly reliable 8mm AIT format and technology.

The AIT-E Turbo half height tape drive is the first generation in the AIT Turbo family and was manufactured by Sony for many vendors including HP, Compaq and others for use in libraries, autoloaders and of course as standalone internal and external drives.

The AIT-E Turbo offers 20GB native capacity or 52GB compressed capacity on a single tape at transfer speeds of up to 15.6MBps or 56GB per hour. Native, the drive provides 20GB of storage capacity with a transfer speed of 6MBps.

The Sony AIT-E Turbo was available in 68pin SCSI or ATAPI interface versions.

Media Compatibility

All stock AIT Turbo drives have been fully refurbished by our factory trained engineers and have passed a series of manufacturer diagnostic tests designed to test the read write performance of the AIT drive.

This refurbished product comes complete with a full 6 month return to base warranty.
