46X5676 IBM LTO4 HH V2 Internal SAS Tape Drive

Description

The 46X5676 is the V2 version of the IBM LTO4 half height internal SAS tape drive.

The Ultrium 4 half height tape drive is the fourth generation in the LTO Ultrium family and was manufactured by IBM for many vendors including Dell, Tandberg and others for use in libraries, autoloaders and of course as standalone internal and external drives.

The Ultrium 4 offers 800GB native capacity or 1.6TB compressed capacity on a single tape at speeds of up to 120 MBps; 432GB/hour native.

Speed matching dynamically matches tape speed to host data transfer rate improving tape cartridge reliability and longevity by preventing shoe-shining and giving an overall performance advantage over similar drives as well as exceptional reliability.

Interface options for the half height Ultrium 4 include 3Gbps SAS, 6Gbps SAS as well as fibre. The LTO4 is also read and write compatible with LTO3 media and read only compatible with LTO2 media. This gives excellent backwards compatibility with past generations of the LTO family.

All stock IBM LTO Ultrium drives have been fully refurbished by our factory trained engineers and have passed a series of manufacturer diagnostic tests designed to test the read write performance of the LTO drive.
