Description

The 0V6733 is the IBM LTO5 V2 half height fibre channel drive for the TS series libraries.

The Ultrium 5 half height tape drive is the fifth generation in the LTO Ultrium family and was manufactured by IBM for many vendors including Dell, Tandberg and others for use in libraries, autoloaders and of course as standalone internal and external drives.

The Ultrium 5 offers 1.5TB native capacity or 3.0TB compressed capacity on a single tape at speeds of up to 140 MBps; 504GB/hour native. Speed matching dynamically matches tape speed to host data transfer rate improving tape cartridge reliability and longevity by preventing shoe-shining and giving an overall performance advantage over similar drives as well as exceptional reliability.

Interface options for the half height Ultrium 5 include 6Gbps SAS as well as fibre and USB 3.0. The LTO5 is also read and write compatible with LTO4 media and read only compatible with LTO3 media. This gives excellent backwards compatibility with past generations of the LTO family.

All stock IBM LTO Ultrium drives have been fully refurbished by our factory trained engineers and have passed a series of manufacturer diagnostic tests designed to test the read write performance of the LTO drive.

This refurbished product comes complete with a full 6 month return to base warranty.
