The C5716 is the HP Surestore 6 tape DDS4 internal SCSI DAT autoloader.

The DDS / DAT (Digital Data Storage / Digital Audio Tape) format was initially developed by a collaboration between HP, Sony and Digital in 1991 and uses helical scanning
