Description

The C7200-69202 is the HP DLT8000 SE/LVD SCSI tape drive in a loader/library tray.

The DLT8000 full height tape drive is the last generation of the Quantum DLT family and was manufactured by Quantum for many vendors including HP, Compaq, IBM, Dell, Tandberg, Overland and many others for use in libraries, autoloaders and of course as standalone internal and external drives.

The DLT8000 offers 40GB native capacity or 80GB compressed capacity on a single tape at speeds of up to 12MBps or 43.2GB per hour.

The DLT8000 was available in 68pin SCSI-2 Fast / Wide, SE / LVD or HVD interfaces.

The DLT8000 has read and write backwards compatibility with earlier DLTtape formats.

Media Compatibility

This and later DLT tape drives had tape loadable firmware, allowing easy updates to the drive’s microcode, so that additional capabilities could be added by merely changing software. The same technique also permitted customization to the SCSI interface parameters.

Also notable was the DLT8000’s use of superior error detection and correction, extensive embedded diagnostic/self-test software, Dual-speed recording and fast access to data via tape mark directory.

All stock DLT drives have been fully refurbished by our factory trained engineers and have passed a series of manufacturer diagnostic tests designed to test the read write performance of the DLT drive.

This refurbished product comes complete with a full 6 month return to base warranty.
