Description

The C7503-67201 is the HP version of the DLT-VS80 external LVD SCSI tape drive.

The DLT VS80 half height tape drive is the first generation of the Quantum VS (Value Series) tape family and was manufactured by Quantum for many vendors including HP, Compaq, IBM, Dell, Tandberg, Overland and many others for use in libraries, autoloaders and of course as standalone internal and external drives.

The DLT VS80 offers 40GB native capacity or 80GB compressed capacity on a single tape at speeds of up to 6MBps or 21.6GB per hour. Native, the drive provides 40GB of storage capacity with a transfer speed of 3MB/second.

The DLT VS80 is a streaming tape drive that uses half-inch wide Digital Linear Tape (DLT) media and a standard 5.25-inch half-height form factor to simplify integration into system and tape library solutions.

The DLT VS80 was available in a 68pin Wide Ultra SCSI-2 (Low Voltage Differential)

Backward read compatibility for DLT 4000 and read write compatible with the DLT1 tape drive formats.
