Description

The T9608 is the Dell SDLT320 160/320GB SCSI tape drive for the PowerVault132T.

The SDLT320 full height tape drive is the second generation of the Quantum SDLT family and was manufactured by Quantum for many vendors including HP, Compaq, IBM, Dell, Tandberg, Overland and many others for use in libraries, autoloaders and of course as standalone internal and external drives.

The SDLT320 offers 160GB native capacity or 320GB compressed capacity on a single tape at speeds of up to 32MBps or 115.2GB per hour. Native, the drive provides 160GB of storage capacity with a transfer speed of 16MB/second.

The SDLT320 is a streaming tape drive that uses half-inch wide Digital Linear Tape (DLT) media and a standard 5.25-inch full-height form factor to simplify integration into system and tape library solutions

The SDLT320 was available in 68pin LVD, Ultra 2 SCSI, HVD and Ultra SCSI interfaces.

The SDLT320 has read and write backwards compatibility with earlier DLTtape formats.

Global Storage Link infrared (wireless) interface that provides a wireless remote testing base allows customers and integrators to access system diagnostic information from the front of the tape system

When needed, the SDLT 320 can be operated in a mode that is completely compatible with that of the SDLT 220
