Description

The TC-L82BN-AR is the Quantum LTO8 external half height SAS tape drive.BR>

LTO 8 Tape Drives provide up to 30 TB of compressed capacity on a single cartridge (12TB Native) and come in 6Gbps SAS interface for standalone tape drives as well as a fibre option for some tape libraries.
The maximum native data transfer rate is 300MBps on SAS models.
LTO 8 Tape Drives allow the tape drive to continuously adjust the speed of the drive to keep drives streaming to maximize performance and reduce start/stops which significantly increase reliability.
LTO8 drives have both read and write compatibility with LTO8 and LTO7 media but are unable to read from LTO6 and previous generations
